Services offered at Oatley Podiatry
Treatment for Corns & Calluses
Corns and Calluses are thickened areas of skin produced as part of the body's defence system to protect underlying tissue. They form as a result of continuous pressure, and can indicate problems in foot bone structure, the way you walk, or shoes that don't fit properly.
Corns and Calluses are very common and require treatment by a Podiatrist as they generally symptoms of other foot problems.
Nail Surgery
Ingrown toenails are nails that press against adjacent skin causing pain, inflammation and can lead to infection if untreated. A ‘Partial Nail Avulsion’ (PNA or nail root and matrix resection) is a minor nail procedure which aims to permanently treat ingrown toenails.
This procedure can be performed in our consultancy room at Oatley Podiatry. Patient can walk immediately afterwards.
Orthotics
At Oatley Podiatry we can recommend the most suitable footwear based on the natural biomechanics of your foot. If required, we can make orthotics specially designed for your individual biomechanical and lifestyle needs.
